Our everyday choices are powerful. What we buy impacts our health, the environment, and even social justice. Yet, many of the everyday products we use are filled with low-quality ingredients that do more harm than good.

Living in a rural part of Florida with limited access to mindful products, I started making my own cleaning supplies using simple ingredients like vinegar and baking soda.

These small, mindful changes could extend to self-care. I wanted to start with a part crucial to my identity and confidence, yet greatly overlooked: my hair. It was never what I wanted — too oily, too thick, and my dark hair color made it look greasy and unkempt. I didn’t realize what was in my products and how those ingredients contributed to a cycle of damage (both for my hair and the environment). That needed to change.

As I searched for better options, I discovered solid haircare, which was more gentle on hair and the environment. But most of the options I found, while plastic-free, didn’t deliver the results my hair needed. Why couldn’t we have both?

I set out to create a salon-quality solid hair product that could help restore, protect, and target hair-specific concerns. Sudz Cauldron was born with 7 solid haircare products addressing different needs – from dryness and sensitivity, to oiliness and curls– while offering an accessible first step to wellness.

Through Sudz Cauldron, we are offering simple, intentional solutions that help you reconnect with your roots–literally, emotionally, and culturally– while being a safe space to confidently show up as yourself.
