ARE SUDZ CAULDRON BARS SOAP-FREE?
Yes! Our bars are 100% soap-free Solid Shampoo. Unlike traditional soap, our bars have not been saponified, meaning no lye was used in its creation. Instead, we carefully formulate using gentle, plant-based surfactants, similar to the cleansing agents found in liquid shampoos but better & plastic free!
HOW LONG DOES YOUR SHAMPOO BAR LAST?
A Full Size 90(g) bar, depending on usage can lasts up to 60 washes, or 3 months’ worth of washing, which replaces up to 3 BOTTLES of liquid Shampoo. A Fun Size Bar 30(g) lasts around20-30 washes, approximately 1-2 Months.
ARE YOUR SHAMPOO BARS SUITABLE FOR COLOR TREATED HAIR?
Yes! Our formulas do not contain sulfates (the ones to blame for stripping off colour) therefore suitable for color treated hair.
DO YOUR BARS CONTAIN PALM OIL?
No, we strive to source ingredients that are palm oil-free, choosing alternatives like coconut or vegetable oils that are palm-oil free.
DO YOUR BARS CONTAIN SYNTHETIC FRAGRANCE OR COLORS?
All products are free of synthetic fragrances and colors, except for our Electra shampoo and Solstice conditioner, which contain a synthetic colorant for toning. We use organic essential oils derived from plants. Natural clays and botanicals are added to gently exfoliate the scalp and give our bars their beautiful color naturally.

How to use a Shampoo Bar
- Glide the shampoo bar over your wet scalp.
- Lift your hair to apply to the bottom part of your scalp.
- Once it lathers, massage the sudz into your entire scalp.
- Rinse thoroughly.
- Follow up with a conditioner bar to retain moisture and boost softness. Store dry.

How to use a Conditioner Bar
- Glide the conditioner bar over your wet scalp.
- Press and slide, focusing on ends. The more you press, the more product will melt into your strands.
- Let site for 1-3 minutes before rinsing
- Rinse and experience he magic.

What if my shampoo doesn't lather much?
Don’t worry — that’s totally normal with some of our bars!
Our Nova and Clementine bars are what we call low-poo formulas, which means they naturally have less lather. They’re designed to be extra hydrating and perfect for anyone dealing with dryness, so you get all the goodness without the heavy suds.
If you’d like a little more lather (and an even easier experience), we recommend using your bar with our Chiffon Bar Bag. It helps boost the lather, makes the bar super easy to apply, and even helps it last longer!
How long does it take for my hair to adjust if I'm switching from traditional bottled products?
Good news — there’s no long transition period with our bars! Most of our customers notice a difference right after their first use, feeling softer, lighter, and more nourished hair immediately.
Because our formulas are thoughtfully crafted with clean, gentle ingredients (and without the heavy buildup from traditional bottled products), your hair can start benefiting from true wellness care without the usual adjustment struggles.
Every head of hair is unique, but we designed our bars to make the switch feel simple, natural, and supportive from day one.

How long will my order take to arrive?
We typically ship all orders within 1–2 business days. Once your order is on its way, shipping is handled through USPS standard delivery, which usually takes 3–7 business days depending on your location.
While we can’t quite compete with Amazon’s next-day shipping, we do our best to get your order out as quickly as possible. Thank you for supporting our intentional business — your patience means the world to us!

What if my package arrives damaged?
Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us right away if your package arrives damaged, defective, or if you received the wrong item. We want to make it right for you as quickly as possible!

What makes your haircare more eco-friendy?
Our bars are designed with the planet in mind! We skip the plastic bottles, use biodegradable and Fair Trade ingredients, and package everything in recyclable, compostable materials — no shiny coatings or plastics. Plus, our small-batch process keeps waste low and intention high.
What are your bars packaged in?
Our packaging is made from recyclable and compostable materials — no shiny coatings or plastics that harm soil health.
Carton: Made with a mix of natural materials (such as cotton, recycled material, and eco-friendly fiber) that is Uncoated, Acid-Free, Chlorine-Free, pH Neutral; Recyclable and Biodegradable.
Once Empty: Break down the carton and place it in the recycling bin, compost, or take it to your local recycling facility.
How much plastic waste can I avoid by switching to bars?
By switching to solid bars, you can help eliminate at least 2–3 plastic bottles for every bar you use — sometimes even more depending on your hair care routine.
Each bar is designed to last just as long (if not longer) than a standard bottle of shampoo or conditioner, without the need for plastic packaging. Over time, these small changes add up to make a big impact — less plastic in landfills, oceans, and our environment.

Are your ingredients ethically sourced?
Yes! We’re deeply committed to sourcing ingredients that are better for both people and the planet.
Whenever possible, we use biodegradable, Fair Trade, and ethically harvested ingredients, working closely with small farmers to promote good working conditions, fair pay, and sustainable practices.
We proudly source our cocoa from small farmers in Peru, and our shea butter comes from a community of women farmers in Ghana, where this work provides a vital source of income and empowerment.
Every ingredient we choose reflects our belief that true wellness includes caring for the hands that nurture the earth.
Returns & Exchanges
Do you Accept Returns?
Yes, however, please note that you are responsible for the return shipping costs, and bars must be returned with at least 75% of their original weight to be eligible. If you’ve tried a bar and it didn’t work out for you, please reach out to us at hello@sudzcauldron.com within 30 days of receiving your order. Bars must have been purchased directly from sudzcauldron.com and you’ll need to provide valid proof of purchase (like your e-receipt).
